Stress test

This test puts an item under stress by changing its environment. It is carried out by heating up a component, generally with hot air, or by freezing it with a blast of cold air from a can of freezer. Placing the component under this type of stress will check whether it goes faulty intermittently when it warms up. An application may also be run over and over again to put the operating system under stress as well as CPU, memory etc.
