Soak Test

This is generally required for intermittent faults, to give time for a fault to reoccur. The equipment is run on a separate bench for a period of time. It may be running software that has been programmed to attempt to make the fault reappear, such as diagnostic routines. The soak test should be run for at least 3 times the amount of time between reported failures.
