USB port (USB)

Universal Serial Bus (USB) is the name given to a peripheral bus standard that allows computer peripherals such as audio players, joysticks, keyboards, telephones, scanners, cameras and printers to be automatically configured as soon as they are physically attached. Unlike most other PC device connecting systems, the USB peripheral connecting specification does not allow devices to be daisy chained. Rather, the individual peripheral devices take on a physical star, connecting through a USB hub.
